Linking data for better healthcare performance measurement

BHI and the UNSW Centre for Primary Health Care and Equity hosted a special event on Linking data for better healthcare performance measurement.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr Rick Glazier, Senior Scientist and Program Lead of Primary Care and Population Health at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences, Canada. Dr Glazier discussed using linked data to measure performance at the healthcare system and clinical practice level in Canada, and provided examples of how these linkages had occurred.

A panel of national experts provided a local perspective including Professor Louisa Jorm, UNSW Centre for Big Data Research in Health, Elizabeth Comino, UNSW Centre for Primary Health Care and Equity and Katie Irvine, Centre for Health Record Linkage.
