The Small Hospital Emergency Care Survey asks for feedback from people who have recently attended an emergency department in one of the smaller NSW public hospitals, typically in rural locations.
Between November 2015 and February 2016, we sent surveys to approximately 25,000 people who attended these facilities for emergency care.
More than 7000 patients patients told us about their experiences of emergency care at smaller health facilities in NSW
Overall, the experience of emergency care was rated as 'very good' by 76% of patients, 'good' by 18% of patients
