Rural Hospital Adult Admitted Patient Survey

The Rural Hospital Adult Admitted Patient Survey asks for feedback from people who have recently been admitted to small, rural NSW public hospitals.

This survey includes questions specific to healthcare in rural and regional areas and replaces BHI's Small and Rural Hospitals Survey, last conducted in 2016.

In 2019–20 we sent surveys to adults admitted to these hospitals approximately three months after the end of their stay.

The 2019–20 results reflect the experiences of 4,487 adult patients who were admitted to one of 98 small, rural public hospitals in NSW from July 2019 to June 2020.
